Our brains are visually wired…

brain is visually wired

I’m not sure about you, but when we came across these incredible stats our mind was blown. Literally… from reading so much information and trying not to scan (but let’s be honest, we scanned!).

So we made it a little bit easier for your brains to process this information, and quickly. Enjoy 🙂

brain is visually wired

And for those of you (ah hem Google) who do like/prefer to read, here are the statistics that reiterate our minds are visually wired:

  • Google receives approximately 70,000 search queries every second
  • In 2018, Google Images accounted for 22.6% of all internet searches
  • The brain can identify images seen for as little as 13 milliseconds
  • The human brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text
  • We retain 80% of what we see, 20% of what we read, and 10% of what we hear
  • 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual
  • 80% of text on most pages doesn’t get read
