AHEAD – 2019 Asia Awards Ceremony

Idea

Rebel & Soul were challenged to make the first event of the AHEAD Awards Asia series for 2019/2020 seamless and memorable, setting the bar high to ensure the regional series kicks off to a sensational start. The idea? Create the ultimate awards ceremony, where industry professionals want to be seen and recognised, designing a stylish and energetic experience in line with the events’ Ancient China theme.

Approach

We curated high energy, high impact interactions. The event kicked off with an interactive lion dance which led guests to the main dining area, where a formal call for dinner was executed by the playing of a gong. Guests experienced a bespoke 3 course dinner and traditional Gu Zheng alongside the award nominations and results. Seamless state of the art AV was delivered, and guests ended the evening with a live demonstration of the traditional Chinese Dragon’s Beard dessert before celebrating further at the event after party.

Results

 
  • The event saw the highest number of guests stay until the very end (in comparison, guests would leave if they hadn’t won after their announcement)
  • After party guest attendance exceeded expectations (we even had to create a 2nd after party due to the high demand)
  • 278 guests attended the awards ceremony
  • New annual business. The client confirmed they would like to work with us again next year after the huge success of this event
